Healthcare Reform Bill

So many pro's and con's to this bill, so many fears expressed by both sides. One very real thing I see at work is people getting turned down by the main healthcare corporations, the giants of the industry, or making them sign waivers of coverage for the steel pin in their leg or arm, cancer...absolutely turned down flat...... for our son they gave us the spanish inquisition over a concussion he'd had as a teen from wrestling with a friend in another friends carpeted basement, he lost his memory for 4 hours, it slowly came back as we sat waiting for the er doctor to do his thing, funny he didn't know his friends, he didn't know me, but the insurance company some years later when his application was turned in really wanted to dissect that particular event. Friends we have that are laid off, no insurance. Relatives we have that have no healthcare insurance, us probably soon will have no healthcare insurance, so I understand completely where the one side is headed, I just don't know where they will actually land. The premiums that go up year after year, the high cost of all treatments, the negoiated re-imbursed prices doctors finally receive, the big money, and big pharma behind the insurance companies, how will things vary, and how will they re-shape if the Healthcare Bill is signed into law? Another part of me sees this as a first step against big corporate business, a first step in regulating an industry that has push people around for way too long And me wishing he'd go after the banks, and the investment houses, and regulate them again...truly regulate them, and so many of them tied right back into the insurance companies of America, well I'd like to see all of the bonus boys, aka: Good Old Boys Club of America be brought to their knees and humbles as they've done unto others for so damn long. The juries out on this one, America will have to see if this is a good move in the ongoing CHess Game of Barack Obama-President.

The 2010 Census, much to do about nothing....

postcards sent out prior to census, television ads running before the census, all describing websites, phone numbers to get help to fill it out....so very important, it came in we were astounded at how easy it was, the questions, no brainers. And that one item captures the stupid spending that goes on constantly in our government. Postage, cost of ads, cost of website development and maintenance of website, priceless..................
