I have so many nephews through marriage and yet I have but 1 through blood, he was the runt of the litters, and yet I have enjoyed him all these years.
I wake up this morning, coffee in hand logging onto face book, always the variety, some putting up pictures of decorated tree, some boasting a new car purchase, and then I spot his post, I smile I am touched, he is my blood:
“Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.”
