"When was the last time, you ever saw the sunrise?" I treasure mine as often as each waking.
When the great the dep/rep: ression (yes humor) of 2009 hit, wave after wave of "bad news on the doorstep, I couldn't take one more step, I can't remember if I cried with that news about his widowed bride, but something touched me deep inside, the day the music died" (Don Mclean, American Pie), the country might have reverted to civil war divisions, 50% of them went through years of turmoil and chaos, 50% of them remained clueless.
Layoffs ensued across the land each new announcement one upping the next, big businesses closed their doors, some never to re-open, small business you heard of less with the exception of being referred to as MAIN STREET USA,
and then the ever giving foreclosures two more signs have gone up on my street this month, even as two signs went down, easily replenished, yes?
The people who are simply employees "still" at corporations we once took for granted, well quite simply they still take it all for granted as it's stayed in their timeline, they still have a steady paycheck, they still have company paid (majority) benefits, so they are not paying out $900+ monthly for a bad package of benefits, nor are they selling their gold for mortgage money (a hobby many of my girlfriends have pursued, yes, still a chuckle, as one does this to keep her horse, barned but then you can't take it with you can you?), they don't stand cursing a mail man who has not shown up with a check yet that was anticipated, don't need to worry about groceries for the next week, don't need to have family members jostle multiple jobs just to make a one person income as my one friend does, they don't have nasty grams left on their phones at all hours of the day as another friend has, and yet all of these friends have gained value and insights into what is most important, they've somehow gotten back to the big picture and bottom line of valuing family and good friends the most.
Somehow the people who never lost their securities, their savings, quite often don't have a clue about what has really happened to the middle class across America, so they receive their paycheck on time, and oh well they'll write out yours on your due date and throw it in the out box on a friday so it just sits until monday noon when the postman comes for it, sad to say still laughing:)
Clueless, please define!
Funny that the ones without gained more compassion that the one with.
